About

“I would always rather be happy than dignified” – Jane Eyre Charlotte Bronte

Why am I here?

  • I've journaled in some fashion since I was 8. I thought it was time for a new format. Which brings us this blog.
  • My husband and I love being outdoors and finding new adventures and places to explore. I want somewhere to write and share these experiences.
  • My goal is to journey more and more into a self sustaining, natural healthy lifestyle. I see this blog as a way to document my progress into that and hopefully connect with others on the same journey.
  • I'm a very very amateur photographer and I want to have somewhere to share my photos, growth in my hobby and again, connect with others in the photography world.
  • I love all things creative. I love blank pages, canvases, empty film cartridges (or memory cards since we are in the 21st century). I love to collect these things and share these things.

What's "need to know" about me?

  • Social worker by trade but I fantasize about being a veterinarian. Or novel writer. Or horse trainer..
  • I'm not entirely satisfied with my lifestyle and see potential for so much more. I want to build on my goals for health, happiness, sustainability, etc
  • I love being outside and finding new experiences outdoors for all seasons be it canoeing, kayaking, cross country skiing, etc.
  • Recently married. We'll call him Bearded Man. I'm Resa by the way.
What's "not need to know" about me?

  • I love to read. Favorites include Wheel of Time, Harry Potter, Mistborn series (or really anything by Brandon Sanderson), anything by Margaret Atwood, and of course the classics..Wuthering Heights, Pride & Prejudice...  Ah, I could just go on and on
  • I'm a lover of BBC Sherlock and Dr Who. Might sneak a few posts in here about those. Maybe.
  • Born in the 80's. Hell yes.
  • I collect quotes, phrases, lyrics, anything from songs, movies, books that strike me.
  • Some of my favorite things to do include horse back riding and photography
